It’s okay to not be okay

Why it’s okay to not be okay:

We live in a world that often asks us to “keep going,” to put on a brave face, to smile even when we don’t feel like it. But the truth is, none of us are okay all the time. And that’s not only normal, it’s deeply human.

Just like the seasons shift, so do we. Some days feel light and effortless, while others feel heavy, uncertain, or overwhelming. When we let ourselves acknowledge that, instead of pushing it down or pretending, we create space for honesty, compassion, and real connection.

It’s in the “not okay” moments that we learn to lean on others, to ask for help, to soften the unrealistic expectations we set for ourselves. These moments remind us that we don’t have to carry everything alone.

So this week, if you’re not feeling your best, try this:
- Acknowledge how you’re really feeling, without judgment.
- Share with a trusted friend or loved one, connection lightens the load.
- Allow yourself rest, even if it’s just 10 minutes of quiet.

Remember: healing and growth aren’t about being perfect. They’re about showing up as you are, even when that’s messy, tired, or not okay. And sometimes, that honesty is the bravest thing of all.
