A mindful meal in nature

Time needed: 45–90 minutes

Best for: Midday reset

Eating can easily become another task to tick off - rushed at the kitchen bench, in the car, or on the run. When food is swallowed without thought, you miss out on the calm and connection that a meal can bring.

The 'A Mindful Meal in Nature' Ritual slows everything down. By stepping outside and adding a moment of gratitude and kindness, you turn a simple meal into something meaningful. It becomes less about what’s on your plate and more about how it leaves you feeling - connected, present, and calm.

How to do it:

1. Pack a simple, yet nourishing picnic: fruit, salad, dips, sparkling water or a delicious drink.

2. Head outdoors to a park, beach, or backyard.

3. Pause before eating. Think of something you're grateful for and write it down in the space on this page.

4. Write a kind note for yourself or someone else.

5. Eat slowly, free from distractions.

Who or what are you most grateful for today? Take a moment to truly consider why.
