How often do you wake up in the morning and race around to start the day? With the pressures of work, family and other commitments, slow mornings can be few and far between. But the thing is, a day started slowly is a day started with intention. A day started slowly can make everything seem more vibrant and bright.

In this ritual, you’ll be creating an intentional ‘slow morning’. Maybe on a Sunday when there’s not much else on, or maybe you’ve got a day off work and feel like taking a relaxed approach. 

Watch how slowing down in the morning transforms your whole day.

Feelings: Feel relaxed, feel calm

Time required: 1-2 hours

What you’ll need: All of the ingredients and tools listed in the recipe you choose (see our Recipe Vault to choose a recipe).

Instructions:

  1. Pop on some calming music to set  the mood and slow things down. Maybe light some incense or a lovely candle to create a relaxing ambience.
  2. Slowly create the recipe you choose, try to do this mindfully and calmly.
  3. Enjoy your breakfast by yourself, your family, or whoever you choose to have it with. Chat about your intentions for the day and the feelings you’d like to carry through the day.
  4. Finish your morning feeling relaxed and content.

Today is my day. I am slow, I am calm, I am present
