ABOUT THE RITUAL
There’s something magical about the little things - your first sip of a morning coffee, the smell of fresh sheets, sunlight on your skin, your favourite song coming on unexpectedly. These tiny, joy-sparking moments can shift your whole day, even if just for a moment.
This ritual is about stopping to identify those small but powerful joys in your life. The things that lift your mood, bring a smile to your face, and make you feel a little more grounded, present and you. When we know what they are - and make space to enjoy them - we create more moments of happiness, on purpose.
This ritual invites you to sit down and gather all those feel-good favourites into one place - a list you can come back to whenever you need a mood-booster, a breather, or you simply have a few minutes to indulge.
INSTRUCTIONS
-
Find a quiet, cosy spot - ideally somewhere you can feel relaxed and undisturbed for a little while. Light a candle or have your ‘Calm’ Reed Diffuser nearby, pour yourself a tea, and settle in.
-
On the opposite page, write down a list of your favourite small joys - aim for 10 to 20. Think simple, real, and personal. What little moments make you feel calm, happy, warm or inspired? What always lifts your spirits, no matter what kind of day you’re having?
-
Once your list is done, keep it somewhere visible - on your fridge, mirror, desk or take a photo to keep in your phone. Use it as a personal menu of joy. Each day this week (or whenever you need it), choose one small joy from your list and make it happen.
-
At the end of the week, take a moment to reflect. Did it make a difference to your energy, mood or mindset? Which small joys had the biggest impact? You might even like to add to your list as new ones come to mind.
