Being an adult has its benefits. We have our independence and understand our place in the world a little better than we may have done earlier in our life, but as we get older, we lose our ability to let ourselves go and just enjoy the moment. Maybe we’re worried about what others think of us, or we’re too busy racing from one thing to the next that we forget to stop and smell the roses. 

So in this ritual, you’re going to be dancing. Dancing is something that we don’t often just do for the fun of it as adults, but it’s one of the best ways to express yourself, move tension that’s built up in the body, and just be silly. It’s actually so good for the soul. The result? A more vibrant, connected and energised you.

What you’ll need: Music and a good attitude

Instructions:

  1. Put on your favourite song and just start moving your body. 
  2. Feel into what part you want to move and let go of any inhibitions or worries or judgements of yourself. Just completely lean into it and don’t try and control it.
  3. Smile and breathe. Relax into this moment and allow your body to let go of everything it's holding onto.
