One of the things we feel most proud of at Retreat Yourself is the brands we get to work with.
Every season, we get to feature incredible Australian and New Zealand-owned products that genuinely align with our values - and what we keep finding is brands that really, truly care about what they create. Some have been around for years, some are newer to the scene, but the common thread is always the same: real people, real passion and products that are made with so much intention.
We feel so honoured to be able to celebrate them inside our boxes (and with you!) - it's not something we ever take for granted. So we wanted to take you behind some of the brands in our Autumn 'Relax & Unwind' Retreat Box - because we feel that when you know a little of the story behind something, it changes the way you experience it.
Kind Bod was created by Avalon during early motherhood - a season of life that was full and beautiful, but one where quiet moments became few and far between (if you know, you know). Her bath and shower time became her space to breathe, decompress and feel like herself again. From that very personal need, an idea took shape: what if small, everyday rituals could become genuinely restorative? Kind Bod was born from that question. The brand is built on the belief that self-care doesn't need extra time - it can live inside the moments you already have. Every product is crafted to turn an ordinary shower or bath into something that genuinely nourishes the mind, body and nervous system.

Evolu was founded by Kati Kasza, a former international flight attendant for Air New Zealand, whose years of constant travel, dry cabin air and disrupted routines left her searching for skincare that actually worked with her skin - not against it. Drawing on her Hungarian heritage and a deep family connection to plants and botanicals (her father a pioneering winemaker, her mother an expert herbalist), Kati established Evolu in 1997 with a simple but powerful intention: skincare that restores balance rather than overwhelming it.
