How to move through this transitional time

We're in a proper transitional stretch right now. Winter's on its way out, spring's just around the corner, and we've also passed the halfway mark of the year. That's a lot of shifting happening at once, even if your days look pretty much the same on the surface.

Transitional times like this can leave you feeling a bit off, a bit tired, a bit unsettled, without any obvious reason why. That's normal. Your body and your routine are adjusting to something, even if you haven't consciously clocked what.

A few things that help during a shift like this:

Let your routine catch up to the season. What worked in the depths of winter, earlier nights, heavier meals, slower mornings, was built for shorter days and colder weather. As the season turns, some of that can loosen. Let your routine shift with it instead of sticking to what winter needed.

Give yourself more daylight, on purpose. As the days start stretching out, actually use it. A walk after dinner, opening the curtains earlier, sitting outside for ten minutes with your coffee. Small, but it helps your body register that the season's changing.

Revisit what you're prioritising. Six months in, it's worth checking whether what mattered in January still does. Some things might have shifted without you noticing, and this is a natural point to actually look, not to change everything, just to check.

Move a little more than you have been. Winter tends to pull us inward, less movement, more stillness. As the weather warms, even small amounts of extra movement- a walk, stretching, getting outside, can help you feel more in step with the season instead of stuck in winter mode.

Ease in, don't force it. Small adjustments, a bit more movement, a bit more daylight, a bit more outward energy, are enough for now.
