Soulful talks over tea: making space for real conversations

What if slowing down looked like opening up?

Some of the best conversations don’t happen in the rush. They happen in the quiet. Over a warm mug. With time to ask and space to really listen.

This week’s slow-down reminder is simple:
Make space for a real conversation. It could be with your partner, your child, your mum, your best friend or maybe it’s with yourself, journal in hand.

We know that opening up can feel awkward or hard sometimes. So here are a few gentle prompts to help spark something deeper:

“What’s been on your mind lately that you haven’t had a chance to talk about?”
“Is there anything you’ve been needing lately that you haven’t asked for?”
“What’s something small that’s been bringing you joy?”

And if you’re not sure where to begin, begin with time.
Carve out 10 minutes this week to call a friend you’ve lost touch with, pop in to see your mum, or sit on the couch and ask your partner how they really are.

No pressure, no perfect words. Just a little moment to chat.
