Our story

Kate Williams started Retreat Yourself in 2015 out of one simple truth - life moves fast, and it’s easy to forget to slow down.

Back then, she was working in the corporate world. On paper, everything looked fine. But inside, she felt stuck - racing from one thing to the next, stuck on the 'hamster wheel of life', living by the idea that happiness was found somewhere in the future.

She began to notice she wasn’t the only one. So many people were living on autopilot, counting down to weekends, holidays, or 'someday' when things would finally feel better.

Kate realised something had to change. She quit her job, studied holistic nutrition and personal training, and started dreaming up a way to help people feel good now, not sometime in the future.

That dream became Retreat Yourself - a seasonal box designed to bring the feeling of a wellness retreat into the everyday. A way to pause, breathe, and come back to yourself, without having to escape your life to do it.

What started from a small idea (and a few boxes packed in the spare room of her Torquay beach shack) has grown into a community of hundreds of thousands of women across Australia and New Zealand - all creating small, meaningful moments of calm in their everyday lives.
