When you’re trying to eat healthy, some days you're on the ball and feel like you can conquer any snack the world/your coworker Sandra has baked for you and then there are times when it’s hard to resist reaching for chocolate.
We all know that we should be keeping our sugar intake low, but that doesn’t mean our bodies don’t crave it from time to time.
Well we’re here with these snack tips to keep those sugar cravings at bay!
Apple slices with peanut butter: Keep the doctor away with this antioxidant and fiber filled fruit, with a side of peanut butter for dipping. Not only is the peanut butter jam packed with good fats, it pairs perfectly with a fresh, crisp apple. This simple snack will help keep your sweet tooth satisfied.
Yoghurt: There are so many different types of yoghurt in the supermarket, so whether you’re into the plain, Greek, almond or coconut you can enjoy the benefits of a healthy snack packed with probiotics, calcium, potassium, and protein. We love to add juicy strawberries, a spoonful of chia seeds and a splash of honey, yum!
Cucumber “sushi” rolls: We love this super easy “sushi” recipe, it's a light and tasty crunch of flavours! All you have to do is cut up a cucumber into 4cm length pieces, spoon out the seeds and fill with your favourite veggies. We love using avocado, grated carrot and thinly sliced capsicum.
Almonds: A staple for everyone’s pantry it doesn’t get much better than these convenient nuts that are rich in antioxidants, Vitamin E and packed full of so many nutrients that a handful of almonds make the perfect healthy snack.
