This quote popped up recently...
Always say yes to yourself first.
And it sparked a lot of thought. Is it just a quote, or really would it be more correct to call it a mantra, or even a way of life.
Look at it this way, too often we don't do the thing we want or ask for the thing we need in favour of being polite, putting someone else's needs before our own. Or perhaps we think we aren't qualified enough.
So instead of simply asking for what you need, you automatically say no to yourself and remove any chance of someone else saying yes.
When you say no to yourself, the answer will always be no. Instead, if you always say yes to yourself, you'd be surprised at how often the world says yes to you too.
So here's the challenge, start believing you can do it, start believing that you are worth it, start believing that the world has your back and say yes. Take the leap, take the plunge, take the risk. You have a much greater chance at succeeding if you say yes to yourself in the first place.
So the secret? It's that you always held the key to your own power, you just need to unlock it instead of hide it away.
