The importance of mindful eating lies in its transformative power over your relationship with the food on your plate. It empowers you to go beyond the basic needs of eating, turning everyday meal time into an act of self-care and respect for your body. 

By focusing on the taste, texture, and aroma of your food, you not only increase the enjoyment you get from mealtime, but you also tune into your body's hunger and fullness cues. This awareness empowers you to eat mindfully, slowing down your meals, and enhancing digestion and nutrient absorption - all whilst creating a deeper connection with food, and a more nourishing and enriching experience.

In this Retreat Ritual, you’ll be creating the recipe from across the page (or a recipe of choice, either from our Recipe Hub, or one of your faves) and creating a mindful and conscious experience.

What you’ll need: A recipe that you love

Instructions:

  1. Create the recipe from across the page, or another recipe of your choice - we have over 40 recipes on our recipe hub if you want to start there.
  2. Cook mindfully, enjoying the process as you create this meal.
  3. When it’s time to eat, do it slowly. Savour each bite - what can you taste? How does it feel in your mouth? What can you smell?
  4. After you’ve finished eating, take a moment to check in with your body - how has it made you feel? Also take some time to practice gratitude for having access to such beautiful and wholesome food.
